About Me
Marcus Chen
Pet Bird Enthusiast & Caretaker
I've been living with pet birds for over a decade, starting with a rescue cockatiel and expanding to three other species along the way. My journey from nervous first-time bird owner to someone who actually knows what they're doing has taught me that most beginner mistakes come from incomplete or oversimplified advice. Now I spend my time researching avian behavior, testing gear, and helping friends navigate their first bird adoption. I'm drawn to the problem-solving side of bird keeping—figuring out the right cage setup, identifying when something's off with your bird's mood, and discovering which toys don't become expensive destruction projects. Outside of birds, I'm into hiking and photography (especially bird photography, which has actually taught me a lot about how birds move and behave).
